Preliminary Program
The Cord Blood Forum acknowledges the efforts of its contributing partners in support of the Wednesday Preconference. The Cord Blood Forum values the vital role that members of the international cord blood community serve in providing health care professionals with quality educational programs.
The objective of the Preconference is to advance obstetricians’ awareness of public cord blood donation to enable effective patient education. The Wednesday afternoon program will examine efforts to remove barriers to increasing collection activity and strengthen attendees' knowledge of the role of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in the treatment of blood cancers and genetic blood disorders for both pediatric and adult patients. Additionally, the Preconference will review the efficacy of potential cord blood therapies, including regenerative medicine applications.
This live activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education, the Cord Blood Forum, and the National Marrow Donor Program.
