Selection Criteria

Abstracts are selected on the basis of scientific merit only. All submissions are reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee. Final acceptance is contingent upon payment of registration fees.

Most Outstanding Abstract Award

The award is given to the lead author of the highest scored abstract submitted for presentation at the International Cord Blood Symposium. The award includes oral presentation during the Symposium Scientific Program.

Nominations are not accepted. The members of the review panel select the award winner based only on the scientific merit of the abstract.

Poster Display

Accepted abstracts are scheduled for poster presentation. Posters will be displayed in the Market Street Foyer beginning at 7:00 AM Thursday, June 6 through 3:00 PM Saturday, June 8.

Poster printings will NOT be provided by the Cord Blood Forum. Authors are responsible for the printing, setting up, and tear down of their poster.

Posters must be prepared in advance and should be large enough to be viewed at a distance of 6 feet. The allocated poster board space is a maximum size of 4 feet in height and 4 feet in width. Poster boards will be provided, which are 4 feet in height and 8 feet in width, each containing up to 2 posters on each side.

Poster Reception

Thursday, June 6, 5:00 - 6:00 PM

Presenters are expected to stand at their assigned poster board for the duration of the reception to answer questions and hold discussions.

Registration

Presenting authors must register for the Symposium. Presenting authors who fail to register will NOT have their abstract(s) published and will forfeit his/her poster or oral presentation at the Symposium.

Withdrawal

Acceptance carries with it the obligation that authors participate in the poster session. If authors are unable to meet this requirement, the Cord Blood Forum kindly requests that the corresponding abstract submission be withdrawn. Authors intending to withdraw their abstract must notify the Cord Blood Forum in writing. Please direct all withdrawal notifications to This email address is being protected from spambots. Disclosure Declaration

Accepted abstracts must include an acknowledgment of any commercial funding sources or commercial interests.

Abstracts emphasizing a commercial product will not be considered.

All clinical studies must have received approval from institutional committees on ethics of experimental and human investigations.

Copyright

The presenting author assumes full responsibility for the content and quality of the abstract. Additionally, presenting authors may be required to provide documentation evidencing that all coauthors granted informed consent to publish the work as presented.

Authors are advised that abstracts may be posted on cordbloodsymposium.org and featured in Symposium materials.
