Directions and Getting Around in the Bay Area

Arriving at SFO or Oakland airports

Please note that the hotel does not offer a shuttle service to either airport. Parking at the hotel and downtown San Francisco is very expensive and difficult to come by, so rental cars are highly discouraged. San Francisco has a highly efficient public transportation system and the hotel is located within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and other attractions. The city is criss-crossed by a network of buses, cable cars and light rail vehicles (Visit the Bay Area Transit Authority for full details HERE) Taxis are widely available throughout the city. The Hyatt Regency San Francisco is located adjacent to the BART station offering direct economical service from both SFO and Oakland airports. We recommend one of the following:

The BART

  • From SFO Airport: $8.10 each way - Exit at Embarcadero From San Francisco International Airport: Any San Francisco bound (north bound) train will stop at "Embarcadero Station". Hotel is located directly outside the station. Trains available every 15 - 20 minutes, depending on time of day.
  • From Oakland Airport:$3.80 each way. Board a San Francisco/Daly City bound train. Take to Embarcadero (1st SF stop) - Use the Drumm Street exit for the Hyatt Embarcadero and you’ll be right at the Hyatt’s front door. Trains available every 15 - 20 minute, depending on time of day.
  • You can obtain official BART informationon your mobile device! There aret real time arrivals, delay advisories, trip plans, schedules, station information and more.
