CytoTherm will exhibit its line of DRY thawers, that are less likely to compromise sterility and are more convenient to use. They are more practical to use in clean rooms than water baths. A prototype of a cord blood harvester that allows the full flow of the umbilical cord for faster harvesting and eliminates the use of needles and possible accidental puncturing, will also be demonstrated.

New York Blood Center (NYBC)'s National Cord Blood Program (NCBP) and its Milstein Cord Blood Center is the world’s oldest and largest public cord blood (CB) bank. Launched in 1992, NCBP was the first established Cord Blood Bank to collect, process, test and store CB units and make them available for transplantation for any patient in need of a hematopoietic stem cell transplant. With over 50,000 donations, NCBP has provided more than 3,900 cord blood units for transplantation at 220-plus transplant centers around the world.
