Instructions for Obtaining Continuing Education Credit

Symposium sessions are eligible for continuing education credit by four accrediting agencies: the California Medical Association, the Board of Registered Nursing, the California State Department of Health/Laboratory Field Services, and the American Board of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics. To receive credit, U.S. physicians, nurses, medical technologists/clinical laboratory scientists, and histocompatibility technologists must have followed the instructions below, as was indicated in the final program and the opening session:

  1. Sign-in once each day and indicate the category of credit you seek. Attendance sheets are available at the designated CME/CE table in the foyer outside the meeting hall.
  2. Evaluate every speaker/session you attended. You will receive credit only for those sessions you attend and evaluate.
  3. At the end of the program, complete the evaluation form: rate the overall program, record the total number of credits you earned each day, and record your name, license number, phone number and/or email address. This information must be legible.
  4. Turn-in the completed evaluation form at the registration desk before you leave.

The CBBS Central Office, in conjunction with the Continuing Education Chair, will verify the number of CME/CE contact hours you have earned. If all the above criteria are met, your CE certificate will be mailed to you on or before September 5, 2008. Should any of the required information be missing, you may compromise your eligibility for continuing education credit or delay the mailing of your certificate.

For our foreign and other licensed attendees, Certificates of Attendance were included in the materials handed out at registration.
